Within the framework of the performance management and program budget work carried out within the scope of the activity A.1.1.8. “Development of Performance Management System in Metropolitan and Metropolitan District Municipalities”, a field visit was made to Şahinbey Municipality in Gaziantep, which is a pilot municipality. Representatives of the UNDP Project Team and Şahinbey Municipality participated in the meeting held on 13 January 2022, together with the representatives of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. In the meeting held within the scope of the transition to the program budget in local authorities and the preparation of the legislation regarding this transition, after a general assessment of the progress of the project, practice training on performance management and program budget work, workshops of environment and climate change and cleaning programs, fight against poverty and social assistance programs were held. Following these visits to the selected pilot municipalities, the studies will continue with the meetings to be held with the other working group members related to the service areas.
