Elvan Eda Ersoy

Elvan Ersoy works as Project Assistant of LAR III Project under Inclusive and Democratic Governance Portfolio in UNDP Turkey. She has more than 6 years of work experience and she worked at Anses News Agency for 5 years. During this period, she had experience in government relations, corporate communications, as well as journalism. She was responsible for establishing a long term, sustainable relationship between the client companies they have been serving for and governmental circles. She was also responsible for following the legislative work at the Parliament and legislation published in the Official Gazette. She was preparing weekly and monthly reports in English on main political and economic developments in Turkey and reporting them to client companies. Previously, she had also experience in project management, including procurement, finance, human resources and event management at Damasec Defense & Security. She has bachelor’s degree in International Relations at Middle East Technical University (METU) with ‘high honour’ award and master’s degree in European Studies: Ideas and Identities at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She completed her post-graduate study via Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme with the thesis on ‘The Effect of the Issue of Illegal Migration on the Process of Turkey’s Accession to the European Union’. She also studied at Freie Universitaet Berlin via Erasmus Student Exchange Programme. Besides, she has associate degree in Media and Communication at Anadolu University. She speaks English at advanced level and German at intermediate level.
